Kids say the darndest things!

So, I know this is a very VERY late start to blogging, but I am hoping to catch up and be posting in real-time... soon!

Being pregnant while teaching kindergarten was never dull.  They had tons of questions and lots to say.  I took votes every other week to see if they thought the baby would be a boy or a girl - girl votes always outnumbered the boy votes... even after I TOLD them it was a boy.
Even though my blog is late in creation, I took copious notes during pregnancy and can share some gems!

  Questions:
"How did that baby get in there?"
"How does the baby get out of your body - through your butt?"
"If you are sick and throw up, Mrs. Crisp, are your going to throw up your baby?"

(After hearing me refer to the baby as 'Baby Crisp') Why would you name it Baby when you could name it Lightning McQueen?"
"When is that thing gonna come out?" (7 1/2 months PG)
"Is it gonna be Brian's baby too?"
"Did we all come out of Mrs. Crisp's belly?"

Comments:
(To each other while giving me looks of disapproval) "She sure does eat a lot of candy..."
"Why do you eat chocolate?  If babies eat baby food you should be eating that."
(After a student put his hand on my belly for all of 1/2 a second) "Oh man, I think your baby should gave me a high-5!"
"You should bring your baby to school so he can learn with us.  Here, he can sit in this chair."
